Re: TTC Monthly Metropass
The Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU) is pleased to announce that starting for August sales of September passes, in addition to offering the VIP TTC Metropasses (cost $107.00), we will also offer the Student Discount Metropass which is at a low cost of $99.00.
However, in order for students to be eligible to purchase the Student Discount Metropass, students must present their TTC Photo I.D. card.
TTC Photo I.D. card may be obtained from either of the following locations:
- TTC Sherbourne Subway Station, 420 Bloor St. E., Toronto, Ontario
- cost $5.25 for the TTC Photo I.D. card **
- Please bring a copy of your UTSC timetable*
2. Student Centre UTSC in the Alumni Lounge Room SL 283 (see schedule below)
- cost $7.00 for the TTC Photo I.D. card **
- You have to register at www.datacard.com/ttc using the access code: uot75010.

The SCSU would like to remind all students who are currently renting a locker that all contents and materials contained in their locker must be cleaned out by _*Thursday, September 2nd, 2010.*_ Any contents left in the lockers after this date will be discarded or donated to charity. There will be no opportunity for picking up locker contents once this deadline has passed.

Fighting for Fair Fares
At the beginning of this year the previous VP External and I lobbied with several schools in the GTA under the campaign called “Fair Fares”. This campaign was launched because of a fare hike TTC was going to implement in a long line of quick increases over the years. With the power of a united student movement Toronto fought and won an extension of the student discounted metropass to all University and college students full-time and part-time doing a degree or diploma. A great win but a bigger challenge arises.
