Overall, students found Professor Gervers to be a good and enthusiastic professor. They found his lectures useful and it helped them prepare for tests. However, most of the students found the tutorials were not beneficial and tutorials hard to follow. The students believed that the tutorials were weighted too heavily in terms of marks, and there was too much material to read for the course. Students suggested that an outline would help with the organization of notes, and they also recommend the professor to use a microphone.

Nevertheless, students would have appreciated it had he incorporated visuals into his lectures and had he made the major assignment more concise.

Both the Professor and Teaching Assistant were both described as passionate about the material and attentive to student questions. Many students disliked the essay format, though appreciated the writing examples given as a class handout.

Nevertheless, a majority of the class agreed that Professor Gervers was an excellent instructor and appreciated his enthusiasm for the course material. Students expressed great satisfaction with Professor Gervers as an instructor, and felt that his depth and breadth of knowledge was a great asset. They felt he made distant subject matter very approachable. Perhaps owing to the wide amount of material covered, a number of students said they were lacking in guidance to know what to study or focus on at times, and felt the lectures were unable to encompass everything to be learned in the time available. Nevertheless, almost everyone reports this as a valuable learning experience.

The majority of students found Professor Gervers to be very enthusiastic and engaging during lecture, although some lectures were mildly disorganized students appreciated the use of examples and visual aids to enhance understanding, although some students commented that not enough time was spent discussing the historical significance of some of the slides. Students found the overall workload to be high for a c-level course, but enjoyed the overall learning experience.
