Most students enjoyed this class and found Brown to be very enthusiastic and informative. There was a heavy workload to this course and the proficiency required in the study of English necessary to succeed in it was demanding for some, but Brown used excellent teaching methods and many students said they study English because of him.

Professor Brown was commended for being extremely knowledgeable, helpful and exuding true passion for teaching. Students appreciated the many methods of communication he used to engage students such as class discussions and online forums. Some found the marking scheme to be tough, however it was well-distributed (participation/essays/quizzes). Students would have appreciated better feedback on midterms and essays.

Overall students were pleased with Professor Russell Brown's performance and commended on his enthusiasm in class. Many found his lectures interesting yet more organization is needed. Many students mentioned Professor Brown's use of class discussions to communicate ideas in class. However there were mixed reviews on these discussions as some found that too much time was spent on class discussions and not enough time was spent on the lectures themselves. Others found them helpful and engaging.

Overall, students found this course taught by Professor Russell Morton Brown enjoyable as he demonstrates a superior knowledge of the materials presented in class. Students found Professor Brown enthusiastic and interesting yet they also found his lectures very disorganized. Many students found the large amount of readings for this course overwhelming yet necessary as the weekly quizzes are based on the readings.

Professor Brown was an excellent instructor. While the course readings were enjoyable, there was a lot of information to learn and the weekly quizzes could be stressful at times. There was an emphasis on the Bible as the main text.

Overall, students were impressed with Professor Russell Morton Brown's enthusiasm and knowledge of the course content. Students found him interesting and his course a worthwhile experience. However, students were not happy with the high volume of readings, his disorganized lectures and the many changes to the course syllabus throughout the semester.
