Overall, students found Professor Newman to be an excellent lecturer, who was quite knowledgeable about Latin and its uses throughout history. They appreciated the fact that he graded fairly within a short amount of time and gave appropriate feedback where needed. They also appreciated that he never hesitated to answer questions and always made himself available for consultation through various means. One concern students had about the course was that the tough content was hard to learn in only six weeks. One suggestion students have for Professor Newman is that weekly quizzes should have been provided as a better judge of understanding.
