Overall, students found Professor Newman to be an excellent instructor, who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Latin. Students appreciated his humour and historical notes that allowed such tough material to be grasped more easily. They also appreciated his continued encouragement and ability to answer questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. One concern students had about the course was that it was a lot of tough material to learn in six weeks. One suggestion students have for Professor Newman is to write on the board in a more organized fashion.
