Overall, students’ evaluations of Professor McKenzie’s instruction were mixed. Students found her lecturing to be enthusiastic due to her experience in the field, and appreciated the guest lectures. However, most students took issue with the evaluation criteria cited in the course syllabus, stating that assignments should be worth more since they were assigned weekly and took a lot of time to complete. One suggestion students have for Professor McKenzie is to give clear and concrete expectations for the assignments in the form of a rubric or specific guidelines.
