Students thought that Professor Zhao was knowledgeable about the course material but thought that it was difficult to understand the material due to lecturing pace and communication issues. As of a result, most students were self-learning the course even though this course was inherently difficult to understand. They also thought the quizzes were extremely unfair as course material were not reflected on the quiz, resulting in unsatisfactory grades. One suggestion students had for Professor Zhao was to correlate the quizzes to concepts taught in lecture, rather than unknown concepts.
