Most students were pleased with this course and with the classroom style of Professor Treloar. Some non-music students expressed concern that they were deceived by the course calendar which states no musical background is required and felt disadvantaged by students who did have such background. Students caught in this position emphasize that the course is naturally more difficult for those without musical foundation, even if it is technically accessible to them.
