Students in this course appreciated Professor Boonstra's deep knowledge of the material and especially enjoyed the field work elements. Many felt the assignments represented an excessive workload, however, and lacked adequate direction. The TA, Kevin, was noted as an asset.

Most students commended Professor Boonstra's performance. However, many felt that his lecture notes might have been more detailed and better organized. They would also have appreciated it had he posted his lecture notes prior to class. Also, some respondents felt that the midterm questions were too detailed.
