Students expressed dissatisfaction with the professor's tendency to be late. But besides that, found the professor to be very interesting and good and really liked the numerous examples that were provided. The course tests and exams were very difficult and the professor's small writing frustrated some students.

Students felt that some difficulties with this course were caused by a lack of communication between Professor Hill and Professor Butscher, who instructed the other unit of this course. Students found Professor Hill an effective instructor in terms of understanding and communicating the material, but felt his apparent lack of enthusiasm made him difficult to follow.

Students felt this instructor relied too heavily on the material from the text without additional clarification. Also, some found his lectures hard to follow and the grading of assignments to be excessively delayed. Some felt he might benefit from additional preparation and organization, but several also noted improvements in these areas by the end of the year.
