Student unanimously agreed that Professor Nussbaum was an outstanding lecturer, very approachable and supportive of students' requests. They found the course to be very interesting and the lecture enriched with the Professor's use of examples of his experiences in the field. Almost all students appreciated the grading format of the course (three non-cumulative exams). Many considered this course to be one of their best at UTSC.

Students thoroughly enjoyed Professor Nussbaum's class because of his extensive knowledge in the course material. He brought excellent examples from his previous experiences to help students understand the concepts. The TA Lisa was fabulous. Many students expressed interest in taking future courses taught by Professor Nussbaum because of his teaching style. However, a number of students suggested it would be very helpful if the lecture slides could be posted much earlier prior to class time. Overall, Professor Nussbaum was an effective and enthusiastic instructor and students would recommend this course to their peers.

Professor Nussbaum was a very accommodating and nice professor. Many students enjoyed the class, and found the knowledge they gained to be very beneficial.

Students felt that Professor Nussbaum makes an excellent lecturer because he is knowledgeable, fair, approachable and helpful, making the class a pleasure to attend. He was noted especially for looking out for the best interests of the students. The course was found to be a valuable learning experience and many students appreciated the interesting course material. The structured course paper and student seminars were also considered helpful. However, some students felt that too much time was spent on presentations rather than on learning or discussion.
