Many students enjoyed the course because they found Professor Boyd to be a wonderful instructor who was very passionate about the subject matter. The appreciated him returning assignments back on time with proper feedback. However, some felt that the work load was very high compared to other courses at the same level. For future, they recommend more discussion in class rather than reading off textbooks and having more organized and focused lectures.

Students almost unanimously agreed that Professor Boyd brought life to the course with his enthusiasm and engagement of students. Many students commented that he was approachable and responsive to student questions. Some students emphasized that the workload for this course is quite intense. Nevertheless, students enjoyed the course and found Professor Boyd to be very knowledgeable.

Students felt that Professor Boyd was an effective instructor who encouraged class discussion. However, many would have appreciated it had he been more organized, and had he better distributed marks. Furthermore, students felt that the instructor should have set the historical context for the texts prior to discussing them. Also, though students enjoyed the online course discussions, they were displeased with the fact that they were not permitted to discuss, or receive credit, for posts after a certain point.
