All students agreed that Professor Dubois is an amazing, enthusiastic, and creative professor who made poetry interesting for many. They appreciated how passionate Professor Dubois is towards poetry, which made many students appreciate it just as much; an exhilarating experience was described by everyone!

Although some students expressed concerns over the grading scheme for this course and would have appreciated a break in between the two-hour lecture, most found Professor DuBois to be very passionate and enthusiastic about poetry. Some students also felt that from time to time, the tutorials lacked relevance to the main lectures and the course itself. Many students felt that this course was very valuable and will help them in their future studies.

Students describe Professor DuBois as engaging and approachable and credit him with making the subject matter accessible. The readings and material was at a high level of difficulty, according to many students, but also quite valuable. It was described as a change of pace to the conventional English program, but also important to a complete understanding of the discipline.

Students found Professor DuBois to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, approachable, and inspirational. His lectures were interesting and insightful, and some students found his ability to incorporate materials from the "The Song is You" conference he organized to be of particular interest. Most students felt that the class was a rewarding experience. However, some students noted that they would have liked to have had more frequent class discussions. They also would have liked it had poems been more thoroughly analyzed in class.

The consensus is that Professor Dubois is approachable, helpful and relaxed. The only concern is that there wasn't enough time spent giving certain poems thorough analysis ' and many were left unexamined.

Most were of the opinion that Professor DuBois is fantastic and an asset to the English Department. He is always helpful and his enthusiasm for the material is infectious. Many felt that this course, though sometimes difficult, helped to expand their thinking and understanding of poetry.

Students epitomize Professor DuBois as the ideal instructor. He doesn't pressure people to engage in discussion, but nevertheless successfully stimulates class discussion. He is always available for individual consultation. His positive attitude and friendly disposition towards the subject matter evokes interest in students as well.
