Most students had a wonderful experience with the course and Professor Simpson's teaching. Some found the midterm to be too detailed. Students think that a field trip would be helpful to visualize the different types of soils they study about in the course.

Students enjoyed this class and felt Professor Simpson had a lot to do with making it interesting. They appreciated her organization and precision and were surprised at the amount there was to learn about soil. A couple commented that the text was almost optional because testing was only based on material covered in lectures and the lectures were very clear on their own.
