Students felt that Professor Cleveland was very knowledgeable and organized. Also, students enjoyed having the lecture slides and past exams posted online. However, some felt that the professor could have offered more sample questions in class. As this course dealt heavily with mathematical calculations, students felt that they should have been assigned recommended practice questions to help better prepare them for the midterm and final exams. Nonetheless, students found the material beneficial, enjoyed taking this course, and thought it was a great learning experience.

Overall, students found ECMA04H3 to be a useful, though challenging course. While Professor Cleveland's effective and thoughtful explanations and lectures greatly helped students understand material, some had difficulty with the fast pace and difficulty of calculations required for this class. The online resources, lectures and videos were incredibly helpful and well-organized. However, while tutorials and lectures focused on theoretical aspects of material, the exams were largely problem-based and consequently several students commented that the course would be improved by more assigned practice problems.

Overall, students found Professor Cleveland to be an enthusiastic and well-organized instructor. They appreciated the 2-3 hour review sessions conducted before the midterm and final to assist students to better comprehend the topics. However, some students felt that the exams were unfair based on the fact that it took too long to complete. One suggestion students have for Professor Cleveland is to give partial marks on the calculation segment of the exams.

A couple of students note they did not enjoy group work where their grades were dependent on other students. Otherwise there were no consistent complaints, and students seem to consider the material valuable.

Students in this course felt that the material was valuable and presented in an interesting manner, but felt that the course might have been structured better so that material was being covered at a more even pace. Students were particularly concerned that there was very little reading for the first half of the course but a great deal for the second half, and that the midterm contained material that had not been previously covered.

Students enrolled in this course appreciated the professor?s enthusiasm and sense of humour in lecture. However, many students suggested that additional midterms or assignments be introduced to make the evaluation more reflective of the students? learning experience. Many felt that the midterm was marked a bit too hard, and that class examples should have been more difficult to prepare for the exams. Students also mentioned that they would have appreciated additional office hours held by the professor.
