Professor Williams is very knowledgeable about the course material and approachable. Students found this course to be an exceptional experience and Prof. Williams helped make this course fun and interesting for many. While many students felt that the material learned within this course was 'extremely interesting and dynamic in comparison to other courses' at a similar level, others felt that the workload was too much. Many students were dissatisfied with the cost of the trip being too high (for the facilities they were provided), the additional costs that came up, and not having all meals offered. It was suggested that a detailed expenses report be given to students so they can plan and prepare accordingly.

Prof. Williams did an excellent job of teaching this course in an understandable and enjoyable fashion. He was approachable and helpful to students and the expectations he had for his students were very clear and straightforward. Some sample exam questions before the exams would be more helpful. Students enjoyed the field trip, but suggested that the maintenance of the rooms during the trip could be improved. This was an excellent course overall and very fair and students highly recommend this course to all, especially to those who want to consider research as a career.

Students truly loved this course, especially all the fun and excitement that they experienced when they headed to Barbados to learn Biology! They found Dr. Williams to be an enthusiastic professor, who clearly communicated the goals of the course. However, they felt that it would be better to have new microscopes in the lab and that the amount of time available to finish their projects was too tight.

Students viewed the course as being a very knowledgeable, amazing, and a stable experience. However, since a majority of the class was based on guest speakers, students found it difficult to cope with the directions and procedures to earn higher grades, especially on the term-papers. Nonetheless, the course offered a fresh and alfresco occurrence in which a good amount of familiarity was provided in the role of zoos.
