Students in this course were quite appreciative of Professor Latta, and noted that she keeps her lectures interesting and amusing as well as relevant. Several noted that they were looking forward to more anthropology or the second half of this course owing to her influence.

Professor Latta is a knowledgeable instructor. She presents material in an understandable and organized manner and possesses good teaching methods. Some would have found studying for the exam more beneficial by knowing the marking scheme for the exam. Some students felt that the professor spoke too fast during the lectures which made it difficult for them to comprehend the information and take notes; some did't attend class because of this reason. Overall, an informative course.

Professor Latta is a good instructor. She presented material in a very organized and understandable manner. The course is well-structured and the lectures are interesting. Students felt that the professor spoke too fast during the lectures, which made it difficult for them to comprehend the PowerPoint slides and overheads and take notes effectively. Students appreciated the tutorials and they found the teaching assistants to be very helpful and responsive. Also, many found it helpful having the lecture notes available online before lectures; this allowed students to follow along in the lectures more efficiently. Students were pleased with the variety of evaluation methods (ie. papers, quizzes, etc.) and found them valuable.
