Students in this course paid compliments to Professor Foley as an experienced and able instructor. Some commented that the grading scheme was downright 'weird' and that very regular assignments were expected. Others complained that the effort required to regularly complete large amounts of work did not necessarily translate into grades. Still, despite concerns about the volume of work, students generally agreed that the course contained a lot of value as well.

The instructor communicated the goals of the course clearly. Students found the material very interesting and suggested that it be made available to all students. The marking scheme was found to be unorthodox and not reflective of student knowledge. Test scores were not linearly transferred to student grades and the workload was found to be higher than those at the same level. The learning experience overall was higher than other courses at the same level.
