Professor Mason exhibited great knowledge of the subject matter, and was organized and enthusiastic in his presentations. However, students suggested that due to the amount of material to learn, he lecture at a slower pace, and that he clearly outline his expectations at the beginning of the semester.

Students found Prof. Mason as an enthusiastic and entertaining professor who gave very interesting lectures with the aid of lots of examples and videos. Students were especially appreciative of the helpful videos. Many were, however, concerned about the face pace of the lectures and suggested that Prof. Mason slow down when teaching difficult course concepts. A clearer explanation of what to expect for in the exams would be helpful also.

Students describe Prof. Mason as an entertaining and effective lecturer who brings life to the class and to the material! The option of the online lecture section was very good for students to grasp any concepts that they missed. However, students were very concerned as to the fast pace of his lectures and would like it if he would slow down a bit when presenting difficult course concepts. Some students would appreciate it if Prof. Mason would be a more organized in the structure of the lecture material. Majority of his students were very glad to have such an effective instructor who explained the major concepts very clearly with good use of relevant examples.

Students in this class were somewhat critical of the degree of responsiveness they received from Professor Mason and report that several issues (though perhaps minor of themselves) went unaddressed as a result. Most felt as though his lectures were fairly direct, relevant and useful but a number of students complain that testing relied on trick questions rather than course material to create a degree of difficulty. Students also note that Professor Mason spent a fair amount of time and attention controlling and preventing class disruptions, but opinion was divided between those who appreciated the attention to this issue and those who felt the attention given to it was disruptive in its own way.

Many students enjoyed Professor Mason's lectures. However, some stated that it would be nice if he was more enthusiastic about the course material. They felt that it would be beneficial if he slowed down with heavy-content material and elaborated more on them. They did appreciate his thorough explanation of concepts and found the examples he used to be very helpful. Most students liked the lecture slides he used, even though some felt they were not detailed enough and they disliked when he read off of them. Students did recommend that he ignore disruptions in class. The online lectures were considered valuable by students as they allowed them to listen at their own pace.
