Students unanimously agreed that Professor Laurence was a very organized and charismatic professor, especially at 8 AM. They appreciated his useful examples that helped them better comprehend the course material. Unfortunately, some students thought the short answer questions for both the midterm and final were vague and unfairly marked. One suggestion students had for Professor Laurence was to allocate more time for students to write the midterm and final exam.

Overall, students found Professor Laurence to be very knowledgeable and most effective in explaining course material. Nonetheless, many students would have appreciated it had lectures been posted online. Furthermore, some felt that tutorials would have provided a much more engaging learning experience while others found the methods of evaluation—with a 40% midterm and 60% final—to be unrepresentative of a student's performance. Nonetheless, students found this course taught them useful information about the business world.

However, some students were unsure of overall course expectations, as they did not get any feedback regarding their performance on the midterm. Had it not been for the involvement of Professor Laurence (who has been shown to be generally well liked in most of the courses he presides over), most students would have found this course insufferable. Students registered the same three complaints repeatedly, the biggest one being that Professor Laurence (or the TA in some cases) did not give adequate feedback. A large number of comments stated that some students felt the marking of assignments and exams was far too subjective. A few also said that the assignments and the midterm should have been connected better to what was discussed in class. Despite the complaints, however, most agreed that Professor Laurence is still a great professor to have.
