Professor Beauquis' inviting nature and excellent dissemination of course material makes her a pleasure to learn from. The only complaint was that at times she would move to quickly for students to effectively learn the material. As well, some students would have liked a smaller class size so as to make a greater oral component viable.

Overall, students found Professor Al-Kasey’s lecturing style to be excellent and enthusiastic when it came to the subject matter, and thus found the course to be quite enjoyable. They appreciated her use of examples and visuals, as well as the quizzes given for each chapter. One concern students had was about the pace of the course and the course length. Some found that it was too much material to cover in the six week period, and thus was a little tiring and tough to keep up sometimes. Student reaction to Professor Dyson was mixed with some enjoying the lectures quite a lot and others being put off by the disorganization of the course. Some students felt that there was to much of a focus on reading and writing Spanish and not enough time spent on learning to speak it.

Lectures were enjoyable however they were noted to be somewhat disorganized which made learning for some difficult. As well, some students were concerned with the fact that others who were well versed in Spanish were being admitted to the class and were throwing off the grading unfairly for those who were coming in fresh to the introductory class.

Most students enjoyed this course and express a desire to see more courses in Arabic available. Everyone seemed pleased with Professor Ali's handling of the material. A couple of students mention that members of the class started with very uneven levels of ability, some with basic skills in the language and others with no background at all (a common issue in language classes) and this might not have been considered properly.

Overall, students found Professor Newman to be an excellent instructor, who was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Latin. Students appreciated his humour and historical notes that allowed such tough material to be grasped more easily. They also appreciated his continued encouragement and ability to answer questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. One concern students had about the course was that it was a lot of tough material to learn in six weeks. One suggestion students have for Professor Newman is to write on the board in a more organized fashion.

Overall, students found Professor Newman to be an excellent lecturer, who was quite knowledgeable about Latin and its uses throughout history. They appreciated the fact that he graded fairly within a short amount of time and gave appropriate feedback where needed. They also appreciated that he never hesitated to answer questions and always made himself available for consultation through various means. One concern students had about the course was that the tough content was hard to learn in only six weeks. One suggestion students have for Professor Newman is that weekly quizzes should have been provided as a better judge of understanding.

Overall, students found Professor Wey to be an excellent instructor who lectured with the utmost clarity. They appreciated her approachability and helpfulness. However, some students felt that the proficiency test taken before the entry into the class was an inadequate tool for indicating students’ levels of expertise, and therefore caused the midterm marks to be somewhat skewed. One suggestion students had for Professor Wey was to provide more office hours to ensure students were able to ask for extra help.
