Professor Samarakoon was described as a very energetic lecturer whose enthusiasm for the course material was demonstrated in class. Many students noted his willingness to help students before, during and after class and enjoyed the way he conducted tutorials with quizzes at the end so that students could recognize their own areas for improvement. Few students noted that the more difficult material covered in the second half of the course was completed too quickly, which made it harder to learn more difficult concepts.
