Some students felt that Professor Laverty was a good instructor and appreciated his availability during office hours. Several students found this course hard and uninteresting, and felt that the professor was ineffective at teaching new concepts. Some students felt they benefited from the seminar format of this course, but others felt they did did not have the advanced background information required to participate.

Students found Professor Wilson to be an excellent and enthusiastic lecturer who demonstrated her care for the students in her prompt reply in emails and other forms of communication. However, many students felt that the classes lacked structure. Thus, students suggested the use of powerpoint and handouts in addition to the classroom discussions.

Students felt that Professor Lin made every effort to help them with this course but the material was so dense they had difficulties regardless. There were few suggestions on how to address this, and it may be metaphysics is simply a challenging subject in any context.
