Most students found Professor Hawkins to be energetic, approachable, and enthusiastic, and they felt that the course was fair and interesting. However, some students would have appreciated it had the lecture notes been posted earlier. Nonetheless, students highly commend Professor Hawkins' performance.

Students felt that on the whole Professor Hawkins succeeded in making the material for this course accessible when it otherwise might not have been. Many students commented that class discussion played a significant role in the course, and most enjoyed this element, but some were concerned that specific individuals excessively dominated the discussion. Hawkins received very high marks for enthusiasm, while slightly lower marks for organization and methods of evaluation reflect a scattering of different concerns in those areas.
