Students really liked Lin, but found that the discussions in class often went off topic. Described as an enthusiastic professor, Lin brought a lot of insight to the class.

Lectures were often confusing, unclear, and difficult to understand. Essay questions are also vague. Many students complained the marking scheme used by the TAs was unfair.
