Students praised Professor Bovaird's interest in lecturing and his use of clear, relevant examples, especially for more challenging concepts. Despite his well outlined lecture notes and course expectations, students would appreciate it more if the lecture material reflects that of the textbook, a quicker response of marks, as well as a balanced pace of lecturing throughout the term; students felt it was too slow in the beginning, and rushed towards the end.

Some felt pressured by the grading format, with a 30% midterm and a 70% final. A few commented that they did not appreciate lectures ending early as they did not have many hours of instruction per week and wanted all they could get.

Students really enjoyed Professor Powers. lectures and appreciated his appropriate use of video elements. Not unusually students felt the 30/70 grading split on the midterm and exam was alarming but almost all agree Professor Powers gave them every opportunity to succeed on those tests. Many students note this was their favorite class, as Professor Powers promised it would be.
