Many students felt that Professor Bovaird lent interest and insight to the course material, and they were generally satisfied with the course and with the methods of instruction, including on-line content. Most concerns with this course revolved around the grading scheme, which included a 50% midterm and a 50% final.

In addition echoing concerns from the other unit of this course (see above) about the 50%/50% grading scheme, some students felt that the course dragged slightly. Still, most students were positive about the value of the instruction and the material, and had particular praise for the relevance and straight-forward nature of the case examples.

Students had many good things to say about Professor Powers personally and felt that he was extremely motivational and a benefit to their educational experience over and above the course material. A few noted that the class gained from his real-world experience. A few requests were made for some assignments in the course, rather than having the grade depend entirely on examinations.

A very enthusiastic professor who made class very enjoyable. His variety of lecture and use of audio-visual aids really helped enhance the lectures. His lectures were always well planned and prepared. Even through a large class, Professor Powers was still able to have an effective student-professor relationship.
