Students found Professor Grinnell to be very dedicated. He made difficult course material understandable, by providing clear examples and explanations. However, some students felt the test/quizzes were very challenging, and the office hours should not have been combined with other courses.

Students universally praised Professor Grinnell's clear and insightful lectures, and some even called him the best professor they ever had and wished that he taught more upper year math courses. However, almost just as many commented on how challenging the course material was, and the effort needed to keep up.

Students in this course were very appreciative of Professor Grinnell, and only requested that assignments be returned more quickly. Several commented that his lecture were so effective as to make the text redundant.
