Overall, students found Professor Helms-Park’s lecturing to be enthusiastic, and because of her enthusiasm, enjoyed the course. They liked that she was approachable and willing to provide students with answers, even going so far as to look things up and prepare an answer for the next class. However, students also commented that the lectures lacked structure and were disorganized, and that the overall goals of the course were not communicated very well. A suggestion students had for Professor Helms-Park was to try to use PowerPoint slides more often to provide some structure for the lectures.

Overall, students found Professor Dronjic to be an excellent lecturer. They appreciated the questions sheets that were provided for each chapter, which were taken up in class for further explanation of the material. They also liked the fact that the assignments were due at the beginning of the semester rather than later to avoid stress and conflicts with other exams. Overall, the course was found to be a very interesting and worthwhile experience.

Students appreciated Professor Binnick's sincere efforts and depth of knowledge. One student comments 'I often think of [the class] as I go through my daily life encountering words.' Several expressed a desire to see overhead slides posted on the intranet and available in advance of the appropriate class, to aid in note-taking.
