Students praised Professor Leonard's enthusiasm, helpfulness, and passion, and found the interdisciplinary nature of the course to be very interesting. However, some students found the course readings to be rather difficult. Furthermore, several students found the expectations for the course to be unclear and many did not enjoy the group project. A few students also mentioned that Professor Leonard was difficult to reach and would have liked it he held more office hours. Nonetheles, students found the class to be an unforgettable and unique learning experience.

A number of students describe Professor Leonard as 'awesome,' though enthusiasm might be expected with the number of them that actively seek out his classes. A few seemed unclear about expectations in this inter-disciplinary course but most cite the course as a very positive experience and the material as valuable both in and outside of the classroom.
