Students described Professor ten Kortenaar's enthusiasm for the course material as 'contagious'. They were inspired by his teaching and appreciated the efforts he took to answer all students' questions. Many found his expectations to be reasonable and felt that he communicated effectively with students. A few would have liked to see better explanation of the grading scheme. Nevertheless, students would recommend this course to their peers.

Students appreciated Professor Kortenaar very much for his knowledge and experience. Most felt he struck a good balance between lecturing to the class and allowing room for discussion, though a few students felt discussions detracted from the material at times. In a few cases students also reported the reading was a bit too extensive.
