Students found Anthony to be very accessible through e-mail and by appointment, and appreciated his availability. Several report he kept the class fun and interesting, though a few found the material somewhat lacking in variety, which perhaps made his able instruction all the more important.

Overall, students were not pleased with Professor Kolawole Olaiya's performance. Many found his lectures not helpful and unorganized. The students also found him to be unenthusiastic and unapproachable. On the contrary, some students found his marking fair and helpful.

Overall, students thought Professor Adams was a great instructor who explained concepts and assignments clearly and showed enthusiasm for the course material. Overall, students agreed that the instructor was very helpful with essays and critical analysis. The class was presented as a seminar which allowed for discussion and helped improve writing. However, some commented that there was far too much overlap with the co-requisite course which should be addressed in future sections.

Some felt that there was not enough material to the course and that it consequently became somewhat repetitive or else was merely too simplistic, but gave Geoff Hamilton credit for making the best of it.

Many students felt that this course should remain an essential requirement for the English department. Although there is a lot of reading material for this course, students found it informative. The methods of testing were questionable (ie. Multiple choice), but Professor Bolus-Reichert's teaching style was exemplary.
