However, some found the midterm somewhat difficult. Furthermore, several students stated that a course textbook, more midterm preparation, and practice questions would have been appreciated.

Profesor Hejazi was described as being an excellent, enthusiastic and entertaining instructor. Students loved his teaching style and found the course to be of great interest. However, a few students felt that the material covered on midterm did not necessarily reflect what was taught in lectures, and found the marking to be inconsistent among various teaching assistants. A few would like to see more office hours.

Many students felt that Professor Hejazi brought life to the course with his enthusiasm and humour. The use of real life examples was very helpful in understanding of the material. Students recommended that the lecture notes could be more organized. A few noted that the evaluations (midterm and final worth 50% each) were heavy and would like to see assignments as part of the marking scheme.

Students felt that a supplemental course textbook would be useful as a course requirement instead of placing a heavy emphasis on lecture material for examinations. Professor Hejazi tends to teach at a very fast pace and his enthusiasm is a large part of what made the course very interesting.

Students felt that Professor Parkinson was a good instructor and that he explained concepts well but some felt that he speaks too fast. Students expressed a great desire to have a text book for this course. Many students felt that the multiple choice questions on the midterm were tricky and very challenging. Some students had concerns over the marking of the exam . they felt it was unfair and that the multiple choice questions were weighted too heavily.

Professor Smith answered questions well and explained the material from the textbook well. Unfortunately, he was often difficult to find and his handwriting on the board was hard to read. The course covered too much material in a very short time, so it was hard to get a firm understanding of all material taught.
