Professor Parker was a very effective instructor who demonstrated creativity, enthusiasm, and insight. Lectures were entertaining and the course midterm was fairly graded and returned promptly. Nonetheless, some students felt a tutorial would have been useful.

Professor Parker was described as enthusiastic, highly knowledgeable and entertaining by the majority of students. They enjoyed his analogies and found his humour to be a refreshing addition to the economics class. They were divided however regarding the length of the sessions. Many described the 3-hour classes as overwhelming and highly dense, while others found them to be beneficial. Students would like tutorials to be included as a component of this course and feel that this would greatly assist them with understanding the mathematical material in this class. They would also like the lectures to be presented in a more organized manner and would appreciate if more graphs were incorporated into classes.

Students generally liked this professor, although some felt that the examples could be explained better. Most feel that the three hour lecture needs to be split up into two two-hour blocks. Some expressed the need for a tutorial. About half of those who took ECMB01 suggested getting rid of the Economic Naturalist project, while the other half suggested keeping it.

The exam questions were much harder than the class examples. Professor Parkinson was very friendly and approachable.
