Students were genuinely pleased with the course structure and the professor?s teaching style. They also appreciated Professor Cleveland?s useful course website. However, several stated that having only multiple choice tests did not allow them to fully express their understanding of the course, and they would have preferred more questions that allowed for part marks. |

Students unanimously agreed that Professor Furlong was enthusiastic, organized and highly motivated. His use of specific examples of current world economy helped students relate theories learned in class to the ever-changing world. His notes and detailed explanations of theories were also noted to be extremely helpful. Some students felt the 70% allotted for the final, could have been spread evenly throughout the semester. |

Students felt that Professor Cleveland was very knowledgeable and organized. Also, students enjoyed having the lecture slides and past exams posted online. However, some felt that the professor could have offered more sample questions in class. As this course dealt heavily with mathematical calculations, students felt that they should have been assigned recommended practice questions to help better prepare them for the midterm and final exams. Nonetheless, students found the material beneficial, enjoyed taking this course, and thought it was a great learning experience. |

Overall, students found ECMA04H3 to be a useful, though challenging course. While Professor Cleveland's effective and thoughtful explanations and lectures greatly helped students understand material, some had difficulty with the fast pace and difficulty of calculations required for this class. The online resources, lectures and videos were incredibly helpful and well-organized. However, while tutorials and lectures focused on theoretical aspects of material, the exams were largely problem-based and consequently several students commented that the course would be improved by more assigned practice problems. |

What students enjoyed most about this course were Professor Krashinsky's energy, friendliness and sense of humor. Most found that the course was enjoyable, and that Dr. Krashinsky's thoughtful, anecdotal examples effectively clarified concepts. While the subject matter was interesting and the professor excellent, several felt that more attention to student questions and a more relevant textbook would improve the already high learning value of the course. |

Students were happy with this professor and were receptive to the teaching methods and enthusiasm he displayed. It was suggested by some that a proper textbook with assigned readings would have been helpful. Additionally it was regarded that the T.A. for the course this semester wasn't as effective as they might have been. |

Students felt that Professor Furlong explained materials clearly and took time to ensure that students understood the material. Many students commented on his great use of examples to tie lecture material with the text book and real life. Many students showed concern about the course tutorials. They felt that tutorials did not really help students understand course materials better and that TA's should take more time to explain concepts rather than read through the answer sheet for the assignments. |
