Students again show great appreciation for Professor Corbett and his remarkable enthusiasm, while acknowledging his tendency to get off topic at times. Several students found this course surprisingly topical, with parallels drawn between the Roman Empire and current American politics, and they appreciated this approach.

Students were pleased with the enthusiasm and knowledge displayed by Professor Corbett. They generally agree that he does not stay confined very closely to a structured lecture format. Depending on the individual student this is found to be either very personal and engaging or else a bit confusing.

Professor Corbett was an excellent lecturer who often liked open discussion in his class. Lectures however, were sometimes unorganized. Overall, this was an enjoyable course.
