Students were very impressed with the depth of Professor Gentleman's knowledge and his creative (and CSI-themed) approach to chemistry. Many were very critical of the total workload in the class, however, and felt it was unreasonable in the context of a full course load. Students were also unhappy they did not receive their lab reports back and felt it hindered their ability to learn from past mistakes. With a very low average on the midterm many students seem torn between the interest and challenge of the course and a basic need to survive.
