Overall, students found Professor Lowman to be an enthusiastic and engaging lecturer. He answered students? questions with clarity, taking into account different learning styles. They also found the assignments and the observation nights to be effective in applying concepts learned in class, and allowing students to understand why the material is relevant. Some students suggested that Professor Lowman try to schedule more observation nights in order to apply concepts learned even further.

Comments suggest that Professor Lowman was not an especially engaging lecturer but students appreciated his sincerity and work ethic. For example, while he might not be especially good at fielding impromptu questions he always followed up with more information later. Students felt the course could be improved by more organization but a less rigid adherence to the text. Several comments expressed dissatisfaction with the tutorials and TAs, which students did not find helpful.

As one student put it, "Mr. Shepherd is gold!" Although the course content is extensive, Professor Shepherd was an enthusiastic professor who explained the material in such a way that students comprehended very well. The overall learning experience was very good. The tutorials were also very helpful in clearing up concepts for the students.
